DECEMBER EXCERPT FEATURE – The Canine

The Canine
AL MINER/CHANNEL: The original request submitted by [Name 1/Owner] was lost and only re-emerged several months ago and then events became profoundly hectic here. Well, I later received — a couple months later — a letter from her. And it included the following paragraph: “I had the sad task of holding Doug while he was put to sleep. I had sent a paper for a reading and would just like to add a question about what it was like for him in his passing.”
And a mutual friend wrote another letter shortly thereafter, saying: “Please still do the reading for [Owner], but from another perspective: Did he know he was going? Was that what he was trying to tell [Owner] the night before he passed over? How do dogs feel about leaving the Earth? In short, a kind of reading for dogs like the one Lama Sing did on felines.”
_________
LAMA SING: Certainly, among all of the gifts and blessings continually offered by your Father, you would find within what is called the animal kingdom. Among these to be sure is that called colloquially the dog.
It is written that it is not by chance that the reverse of the letters spells God, for surely in this creature there can be found qualities that are God-like: The capacity for inestimable forgiveness, patience, love, and faithfulness. And qualities which are — in the individual expression — uniquely identifiable to specific individuals who endear these creatures unto themselves and receive quite specifically just so what they give and a great deal more.
For one has only but to look into the eyes of one of these creatures to see them looking back, radiating something which words cannot embrace. A resonance is awakened within the owner as the obvious adoration, love, and such are seen expressed not only in the eyes but literally in the features and expression that are quick to be known and recognized by the owner from the canine itself.
There can be those who have no warmth in their heart for such creatures who would counter with this or that. And unto these we would simply offer in humbleness: You cannot know of such a bond, such a warmth and love and companionship until you open yourself in a single moment to communicate same with one of them.
But what is the nature of the canine and its spirit?
Consider for a moment, if you will, that you are no longer in physical body. If necessary, close your eyes and relax, taking as long as necessary to reach that point of relaxation and reception of the thoughtform we are attempting to now impart.
Presuming that you have prepared yourself in such a manner, we would now ask you to perceive the following offering: Think of yourself being at some point in time and space where you are no
longer finite but infinite, where you can reach out with your consciousness and “know” anything. Seeing becomes perception. Hearing, tasting, smelling, feeling are all amplified to levels of potential beyond your present comprehension.
At some point of adjusting one’s perspective and knowing, you will encounter a flow of consciousness that is utterly delicious in its warmth and love and supportive kindness. You might in the broadest sense think of this as God’s Love flowing. Just as a living vessel in a physical body carries its life blood, so then might this essence be thought of as the life blood of Existence itself. The potential here is not only that flowing from the canine to you, but it is also the mechanism which awakens these qualities from within you.
The canine has the capacity to sense — to know, to feel — that which is unexpressed. Beyond their physical senses as are noteworthy, of course, there is the awareness at a level of consciousness which is neither mental nor spiritual, but both.
Do they “think?” Most assuredly so. But their thought cannot be compared to the thought of mankind for it is not based upon these same prerequisites but rather based upon pure forms of what we would call oneness with the flow of nature. And so while they relate to food and sleep and shelter and such things as these, they only do so because this is their form of expression in nature.
Do they possess that which can be comparatively called a soul, a spirit which is individualized?
One has only but to ask an owner of same to find a decisive answer to this question, with a note of loving humor. And we would respond here, confirming that the uniqueness of the individual canine is an identifiable portion of the Spirit of God unfolding creatively, continually, and eternally.
Did Doug know of his impending departure? Yes, but did not perceive same as mankind might perceive in the individual sense their own. Not feared, not abhorred, or any such. But anticipated, expected, known, and yes, welcomed.
Could there be felt within Doug sadness because of the consideration of leaving [Owner’s] side?
For what reason? For he has not left her side. The body is known for what it is — an expression. The unique spiritual essence which is identifiable in the individual canine sustains itself not as a finite expression but as the combined interactive result which is propagated by the shared experience between the canine and its owner or owners. And that shall thereafter endure evermore.
We have also given in past and repeat here briefly that we can perceive those who have endeared relationships between themselves and canines — and other such creatures as are a part of the primal life force — as being surrounded by brilliant lights of individual consciousness. These are not intrusive. They are not invasive. They are not that which would in any wise seek to take
from, but to the contrary to continue the process of giving and sharing. We trust this much is very clear.
So in the knowledge of those times which precede the passing from finiteness to infiniteness, in terms of expression there may well be often the effort to reassure — to confirm, in a manner of speaking, ceremoniously somewhat from another perspective — this bond in the finality of that shared experience.
And so perhaps as best we could define this — for it goes far beyond these words — the loving force, the loving spirit which is yet Doug completed the action of finalizing that bond or re- bonding with the spirit of the entity [Owner] and to be sure the others who are yet loved by this creature now expressed in an unlimited form. And so oft at the feet of [Owner] or at the side of [Owner’s] chair is the presence of this light, still greeting at the door, still loving in the times of need.
And what is to be in the future? Doug again? If there is to be another [Owner], then there will surely be another Doug. But if [Owner] is to grow and advance in her spiritual awareness to find new ways of discovery and contribution to others and as well herself, then this as well [Doug] shall do, at her side in this form or that.
And there can be, in a lifetime where there is no apparent companion such as this, his involvement nonetheless as a part of the very force of nature continually surrounding and embracing the entity [Owner] just as surely as one might comfort another with a down comforter of spiritual manufacture, see, as a part of that force which shall ever go before her and those who are loved by her and by Doug. To protect and preserve. To alert and to caution. For this is the nature of this aspect of God’s Love.
Will Doug be seen again? To be sure. As [Owner] has the consciousness to perceive, then so will same occur. And perhaps [Owner], in the next night out of the corner of one eye, might see a form and turn to see nothing but to know inwardly of a friend’s presence.
And if there is permitted the opportunity to re-enter and to join again — not unlike the incarnative cycle of souls themselves — so indeed would Doug take on a new life, a new form. And the journey shall continue.
So as you give forth is it returned to you many, manyfold over. And once you have opened yourself and have given, it shall never end in returning to you from they. For man is not ruled by the environ in the sense of an edict; but is ruled and governed by the results of their actions and thoughts. And so if ye seek to find a sense of companionship and true friendship and love, you would find little opportunity greater than such as this — than to invest the minutest portion of yourself into such a creature and find that the return is magnified, amplified to a degree which is inestimable in terms of its return to you.
The group soul consciousness applies very directly to the animal kingdom in its broadest definition. But this does not mitigate the uniqueness of the individual expressions nor cause these one whit to be lost. But it does ingratiate them in the sense of knowing and bonding with their true source of expression in a manner which few entities in the Earth can or have accomplished.
So in this as well can there be found to those who can look beyond the form, who can reach within said creatures to embrace this essence, this gift, this eternal flow from God to His Children whom He loves.
It is written, as we prepare to conclude for this meeting, that to love God is to love all of creation. And that the reflection of one’s love in such a capacity shall be found abundantly flowing in return to that as one is willing to give. But few if any categories of creation such as this so marvelously and magnificently demonstrate same.
Doug endured no pain, no fear, but was embraced by the love which continues even as we speak to embrace him. Just so as we see his consciousness now embracing you both in this time of challenge and testing. But never fear nor doubt, for this gift from God shall evermore be with you. There is just the pure flow of love here. And the desire to share same.
